On the 31st August 2011, I was playing in a polo match at Kirtlington Park Polo Club in Oxfordshire when suddenly my horse tripped and I was thrown to the ground. She then fell, rolled and trod on me and then kicked me in the chest and head. I was left unconscious and suffering from multiple internal injuries. I was told that within 15 minutes the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance flew in with the vital medical equipment and brave crew on board. A chest drain was made in my side and a brace was fixed round my head and neck.
