I was taking my grandson, Kieron, who lives with me to our local child minder. As I joined the A421, only minutes after leaving home, Kieron cried out in what I thought was a cry of pain. To find out what was wrong with him, I indicated to pull over and the car was hit in the rear by an articulated lorry. When I came to, I could only hear a murmur from Kieron and before I could do anything the air ambulance was on the ground. I was told by the paramedics that Kieron was in a very serious condition and they needed to get him to hospital as soon as possible. On the 8th February 2012, I had finished work for the day and was on my way to my part-time volunteering work. I approached the junction at the crossing of the H6 in Milton Keynes and as I made to cross I was hit by a car. It was not until months later, after I had been released from hospital, that I had a flashback of the accident. After meeting and talking to a woman who ran up the road at the time of the accident to try and help me, I recalled the level of pain I was in.
