On Saturday the 23rd of March 2012, I was playing for Holmer Green Football Club against Berkhampstead Football Club.
During a Berkhampstead attack I moved across to challenge an opposing player but unfortunately, with my momentum carrying me forward, landed on the ground with my leg trapped between his.
I felt and heard my lower leg give way. I looked down and saw my leg severely deformed inside my football sock with what looked like the bone poking through on the inside of my leg and my foot hanging off to the outside. I managed to dive on the floor and rotate my ...
I was taking my grandson, Kieron, who lives with me to our local child minder. As I joined the A421, only minutes after leaving home, Kieron cried out in what I thought was a cry of pain. On the 31st August 2011, I was playing in a polo match at Kirtlington Park Polo Club in Oxfordshire when suddenly my horse tripped and I was thrown to the ground. She then fell, rolled and trod on me and then kicked me in the chest and head.
I was left unconscious and suffering from multiple internal injuries. I was told that within 15 minutes the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance flew in with the vital medical equipment and brave crew on board. A chest drain was made in my side and a brace was fixed round my head and neck. Although the paramedics and other ...
