Open Garden - Laplands Farm, Aylesbury
Location: Ludgershall Road, Brill, Aylesbury, Bucks HP18 9TZ

A self-made country garden dug out of a field incorporating a pond and stream.
The garden has evolved over the years as the planting has been done with plants from everywhere, not garden centres. Guinea fowl and ducks wander freely. There is an interesting rare breed fowl section and vegetable section.
Teas available on the terrace or in marquee if wet.
North Bucks County Show
Location: Pilch Farm, Pilch Lane, Singleborough. A421, Nr Milton Keynes, MK17 0NX
Time: 9:30am - 5:00pm
The North Bucks Country Show will take place at Singleborough, near Milton Keynes, on Saturday 1st June 2013. The day will feature traditional young farmer competitions alongside many main ring attractions.
With trade stands, a farmers market, rural and livestock demonstrations and an arts and craft fayre the day promises to be a success. It will be a country show featuring something for all the family, with plenty to keep Kids amused, from bouncy castles to animals and pets to admire.
The event is organised and hosted by Edgcott &Winslow Young Farmers’ Club On behalf of the Buckinghamshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs.

Open Garden - Historic Houses, Open Gardens & River Trips!

BISHAM ABBEY
The Abbey is based around an ancient preceptory built by the knights Templar who owned the manor in the 13th Century. Today Bisham Abbey is HQ of Sport England and a major contributor to our Olympic hopes. The 800 year old Abbey, itself once home to Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.
Bisham Abbey not only offers the uniqueness of time and history but also sits in such stunning grounds - extending to 40 acres with many mature trees and extensive lawns, on the banks of the River Thames - that one cannot fail to be impressed!
BISHAM CHURCH
All Saints’ sits in a wonderful spot, right on the Thames riverbank. The huge chunky Norman tower dates from around 1175 with an exceptional late 16th century south chapel known as the “Hoby Chapel”- filled to overflowing with a spectacular collection of monuments to the Hoby family, who lived at Bisham Abbey.
GRANGE COTTAGE: TEMPLE LANE BISHAM BERKSHIRE SL7 1RS
A welcome return to this riverside cottage, built onto the original Abbey wall. Lovely river and country views from the two gardens, with lawns and productive borders. Several historic and other points of interest. Grange Cottage will again form the ferry point for pleasure trips to the Abbey.
THE ORCHARD
One of the oldest houses in the village, The Orchard dates from 1400 and was built as a small manor house, probably for the steward of Bisham Abbey. The house has been lovingly restored and extended and sits in its own grounds, facing the Abbey entrance.
East Ilsley Sheep Fair
Location: Pen Meadow, High Street, East Ilsley, Berks RG20 7LF

The East Ilsley Sheep Fair always promises to be a big, free and fun weekend!
There will be a craft tent, fun races for all ages, a children's entertainer, classic cars and bikes, a great selection of refreshments in the new look food hall, court and bar showcasing local real ales and so much more.
Shire Horse cart rides, Bungee Jumping, Fun Fair, Craft Tent. Bring your dog and enter the East Ilsley ‘Crufts’ dog show.

Radcliffe Orchestra Concert
Location: Tingewick Hall, John Radcliffe Hospital

The orchestra consists mainly of members of the healthcare profession, including many from the John Radcliffe and other Oxford hospitals, and have been rehearsing and performing there for over 26 years. There are three concerts a year, each in aid of one of more medical charities.
The Radcliffe Orchestra’s next performance is to be held on Saturday 8th June, at 7.45pm, in the Tingewick Hall of the John Radcliffe hospital.
They are delighted to welcome once again Catherine Underwood as the conductor for this concert, and Olivier Bonnici as the violin soloist. The planned programme of music for this concert includes:
- Hue - Fantaisie for Flute & Orchestra
(soloist: Eleanor Blamires)
- Sibelius - Violin Concerto (soloist: Olivier Bonnici)
- Tchaikovsky - Symphony No.4

West Bletchley Carnival

Chopstock Custom & Classic Bike Show

Richmond Letcombe Regis Retirement Village Summer Festival 2013

Open Gardens - Murrell Hill Grange - Back by Popular Demand!
Location: Binfield

46 acres of gardens, parkland, and woodland containing many unusual features. This small estate is made up of 3 acres of landscaped gardens displaying many interesting areas with 12 acres of parkland. This contains a standing stones feature commemorating the Solar Eclipse of 1999, depicting the line and partiality seen from this point at 10.11 Universal Time (UT) on August 11th.
Within this area is a lake with its shoreline bronze safari park and Gorilla Island. The gardens, parkland, and lakeside contains a collection of over 50 unique chainsaw sculptures in a variety of timbers. To the southwest corner of the parkland lies a path leading to the 15-acre ancient bluebell woodland known as Pockets Copse, where the last ecological survey identified over 1,000 species of ancient plant life.
A new feature has been added to the Oriental Garden showing a display of thirteen life size images of the Terracotta warriors and a Cavalry Horse. The warriors have been imported from China and depict the famous Terracotta Army discovered in the Shaanxi province by local farmers in Lintong District, Xi'an. The Terracotta Army is a form of funerary art buried with the Emperor Qin Shi Huang, first Emperor of China, 210-209BC, to protect him in his afterlife – Entry by donation to this exhibition.
A competition (entry £1) will be available where the chainsaw sculptures are to be identified. The first, second and third placed will receive ice skating vouchers as their prizes.
Midsummer Madness Day

If last year is anything to go by, this year’s Midsummer Madness event will be a fabulous and fun day. In 2012 visitors enjoyed lots of stalls selling a variety of gifts and products, an artificial ice skating rink (yes, in the height of summer!), a falconry display and ferret racing and 2013 promises to hold the same magic and excitement!

A team at The Forbury Hotel are climbing The 3 Peaks on Tuesday 30th July 2013. Captained by climbing instructor & hotel manager, Peter Farquhar, who wants to complete this challenge and support a LOCAL charity.
So The Forbury Hotel and Volunteer Fundraisers 3munkees have teamed up to raise funds for The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance!
A fundraiser launch night will be held in January, followed by a series of related film evenings at The Forbury Hotel Cinema once a month, right up until the actual climb.

Fun galore with plenty to enjoy at this year’s Beaconsfield Donkey Derby on Saturday 29th June.
Come down to St Mary’s School in Beaconsfield for fun for all the family with donkey racing, bouncy inflatables, beat the goalie, a Hog Roast and hopefully once again you’ll get a chance to splat the teacher!
We also hope to have a visit for BOB the helicopter so fingers crossed you’ll be able to also see your local air ambulance (mission permitting).

Rotary Club of High Wycombe Dragon Boat Race
Location: Eton Dorney, Dorney Lake, off Court Lane, Dorney, Windsor, SL4 6QP
Time: 6am - 6pm
This exciting event is being organised by the High Wycombe Rotary Club in aid of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance and the South Bucks Hospice.
This is a unique opportinuity to expeierinece the ancient Chinese art of Dragon Boat Racing atht eh Olypcing venue, Eton Dorney.
Crews made up of companies and organisations from High Wycombe and the surrounding area are expected to battle it out in 30ft brightly painted Chinese dragon boats over the 200m course.
Races will be running from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
