On 13th December 2014, Brad Crawshaw and Mark Holmes will be taking on an exciting challenge at Nuffield Health Gym, Fairford Leys, to raise vital funds for Baby Unit’s Relatives and Parents Support and Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance, both local Buckinghamshire charities.

Brad and Mark will each be rowing 32 KM (equivalent to crossing the Channel)nonstop on indoor rowing machines. They hope to raise money via their just giving pages and donations on the day.

Mark’s daughter spent just over a week in intensive care when she was born. The staff on this unit were just fantastic and the care she received was superb. As a result she is now a happy and thriving little girl. However, the Unit really needs additional support for more training and equipment, so they can help even more sick or premature babies. In addition, Mark’s wife was in over Mother’s Day and, out of their own pocket, the nurses bought all the mums a card and gift. Mark and Brad would really like to play Santa this year and use some of the money to buy a Christmas present for those who are in the Unit over this holiday period.

On the morning of the 23 November 2020, Brad’s father suffered a Pulmonary Embolism, from which he later died. Within 4 minutes from the initial 999 call that morning, the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance was on the scene, giving him vital support.  Brad is taking on this challenge in his memory,  and to raise funds for the vital, outstanding  work of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance covering Bucks, Berks and Oxon.

If you would like to support Brad and Mark and help them raise vital funds for these great local charities please go to their relevant giving pages:
