Kop Hill Climb
Location: Kop Hill Road, Princes Risborough, HP27 0LB
Time: 8am - 5pm
The Kop Hill Climb is a unique motorsport weekend event engaging with enthusiasts and families alike. It was originally started in 1910 and for that time ran until 1925. It’s one of the most popular hill climbs of its ear and it’s revival in 2009 was the start of its continual growth into what will now be its 5th successful year.
This year's event yet again celebrates the motorcycles and motorcars that faced the hill early last century. The hill was in regular use by motorcycles and motorcars until 1925 when, as a result of an accident on the hill, all racing on public roads in Britain was banned.
Despite the rain and terrible conditions last summer, last year’s event saw over 14000 attendees and over 400 historic entrants running up the hill.
These 400 vehicles were veteran, vintage, pre and post war cars to 1973 including : TT winning 1914 Sunbeam, Targa Florio Nazarro Corsa, Mille Miglia Maserati 4CS, Brooklands Morgan Aero and a batch of Le Mans Aston Martin, Singer and Bentley. Post war included the famous Ecurie Ecosse Team cars including the Jaguar C, D and E Types.
There were bikes such as the 1912 Triumph Speedster, 1930 Vincent, TT Norton and iconic Black Shadow and Modern exotics included the McLaren MP4 12C Spider, Lamborghini Gallardo and the Aston Martin Rapide. There were over 200 static cars on display in the paddock and lots of fun for all!
Come along and support BOB at this wonderful event. For further details of the event please visit: www.kophillclimb.info
